Susan (Sue) Collinge was born in Cheetham Hill and lived there until 1965 when the family moved to Halliwell Road, Rainsough Brow, initially living at No:11 and later a flip over the fence to No:15. Sue & George had 4 children, all boys, David, Peter, Mark and Gareth, and 4 grandsons, Jak, Mitchell, Lewis & Max, whom she doted on. Later in her life as her children got older she started working, she worked initially at the kiosk in Piccadilly Bus Station in Central Manchester, then later at Sainsbury's firstly in Prestwich and later moved to the new Heaton Park store where she worked in the accounts department. Sue was struck down with Multiple Sclerosis in her early 50's which ultimately lead to her being completely wheelchair bound, but she still never lost her dry sense of humour even through some very tough times. Sue died on 7th February 2013 of a Pulmonary Embolism in Salford Royal Hospital, her funeral was held at Agecroft Cemetery and was very well attended, the family would like to thank everyone who turned up on the day.
